Cat selection in my Unreal Engine prototype

01 / A PERSONAL SIDE PROJECT

A small, playful prototype

I started this cat tycoon game for my girlfriend: pick a cat, explore and buy things for a tiny feline empire. It gave me a lighthearted setting to connect character selection, purchases and progression. It is still a work in progress, and part of the fun is keeping it a little silly.

02 / PLAYABLE CATS

Character selection into play

I built a cat picker in Unreal Engine to connect a menu choice with the character you enter the world as. The flow is intentionally simple: choose who to play, then get into the game. It is a small example of making a UI decision carry through into the playable experience.

03 / PURCHASES & PROGRESSION

A simple purchase-and-earn loop

Properties have purchase costs and earning counters. I connected those values into a small economy so exploring and earning lead toward another purchase. That gives me a straightforward set of relationships to adjust while keeping the project playful, rather than turning it into a large management simulation.
